Great news Supra fans: There's a sweet new concept from Toyota's TRD division coming to SEMA this year, dubbed the 3000GT. It looks to be a homage to the MkIV Supra TRD 3000GT from 1994, sporting the same triangular hood vents and big rear wing out back. We're hyped.
Toyota has yet to release any technical info on the car, but did drop three teaser pictures and a video (above) for us to gawk at in the meantime:
According to GT Planet, the original TRD 3000GT from the '90s didn't get any power upgrades, instead sporting body, suspension, and exhaust modifications to supplement the already powerful 2JZ engine. Whether the same philosophy has been applied this time around has yet to be revealed. Considering the Supra already makes 335 horsepower and gets to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, we're betting on yes.
We can't wait to see what TRD has up its sleeves.
